Born in Palma de Mallorca, graphic novel artist and illustrator Marcos Mateu-Mestre has been working in the animation field since 1991. 



Currently at DreamWorks Animation, his film credits include We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story, Balto, The Prince of Egypt, The Road to El Dorado, Asterix and the Vikings, and Surf's Up--to which he has contributed 2D backgrounds, 2D layout, storyboarding, visual concept, and development. Marcos has just recently released Framed Ink: Drawing and Composition for Visual Storytellers with Design Studio Press. There's a mysterious energy in all of his work, paired with bold, fluid lines.
